Money out the models in 3D market

Cool  people think twice or thrice before they start up with a model that looks a awesome master piece. The model should meet the requirement of niche in 3D market. If at all the model suits the exact niche there's no point in spending your precious time on modeling software.

Find the niche

Go on exploring models of various artists on couple of sites. Judge how and why they deserve to be sold on market. Guess what new stuff you can incorporate in to existing models. Use your brain to find where the people are missing in details, find those loop holes and work on them. Model geeks price their extremely realistic models on high. Why don't you make exactly similar models with same reality in your version and sell them for little less price tag. People would love that low priced model in good realistic form.

Place your eggs in your own basket

People forget to sell models in their own basket. If you sell your models on others shop, you need to pay them royalty. Guess how it would be, if you have your own shop. Create a personalized model gallery using blogger or word press with customized templates, nice and attractive. Drive traffic from social media to visit your personal gallery on web site. Tell your visitors that you are selling those models relatively for less price when compared to other sites. They would love directly buying from you. This gives you much income than what you have to pay them on royalties. Also you can share links of your gallery with other fellow artists.

Forget building from scratch

Try something different, dismantle the existing models made by you and extend them to some thing which are novel. If you have a castle model, dismantle it and make it a devil's den by adding chopped, broken details.Add grunge and old monument textures to show up it`s feel. If you have a cat model, tweak it in to lion and tiger models with appropriate textures, your new wild animals are ready for market. If you have a squirrel model, you can make  variety of squirrels which you see across the world. People would love to buy the squirrel which they are more familiar with. Think of making different fancy squirrels, puppys, bunnys with interesting patterns of zebra, tiger, panther etc. Let your creativity take a leap beyond.

Make a name in the market

Try to leave your own mark in the market. People by seeing models should be able to guess who is the modeler. Develop your own style and eye for details. Your brand will soon catch the pulse of model buyers. If you are modeling a simple 2D credit card, pay attention to details of embossed or engraved characters, specular, ware and tare etc. Try to make items in a group. Model the list of objects which are generally seen in valet. You can show case entire set of models as Credit cards, Currency, visiting cards, leather valet.
